Data System Tutorial: Mail Travel Tallies and Parent Surveys to the National Center

This tutorial describes how to use the Data System to prepare your Parent Survey and Student Travel Tally questionnaire hard copies for mailing to the National Center for data entry. Data mailed to the National Center usually take 4 to 6 weeks to process but can take up to 8 weeks during high volume periods, so there is a delay between when you mail your data and when you can create the Parent Survey and Travel Tally summary reports in the Data System. Alternatively, if you enter the data yourself, the summary reports can be generated as soon data entry is finished. If you choose to enter the data yourself, please allot approximately 1 minute per parent survey and 45 seconds per travel tally.
