On Wed., Oct. 8th, 2009, New York City's PS 169 celebrated Walk to School Day. The entire school community, consisting of students, teachers, administrators, and parents, walked around the block waving signs created by the students in art class. Each individual sign gave a reason why walking to school is good for you. It was an exciting event that will long be remembered by the school community and our neighbors in Bay Terrace.
